In July, 2011, the tessellations created by our 9th grade Geometry class were accepted by the award-winning tessellations.org, a wonderful award-winning website of kid-safe Escher-style tessellation art and teachers' tutorials. The webmaster of the site, Seth Bareiss, was great to work with and gave us terrific feedback about the students' tessellations. For the first practice problem, you need to say that the triangles are congruent or I can't name any congruent parts.
